The Lane County Pathways in Education program is a collaborative partnership among Springfield, Eugene and Bethel School Districts; Lane Community College; University of Oregon; Pacific University; and Northwest Christian University. This consortium of educational institutions works to support individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Education. Application for acceptance is a two-part process. Upon acceptance to the Lane County Pathways In Education Program, applicants will then need to complete any additional requirements at the selected college or university requirements.
Lane County Pathways In Education Program will consider your application complete once the following items have been received (incomplete applications will not be reviewed):
- Completed Lane County Pathways In Education Program Application
- Current Resume; Include a 1-2 page resume that includes education, work experience, special interests, activities, awards, etc.
- Unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended or high school transcripts if you have never attended college.
- Personal Essay
- FAFSA application submission confirmation
- Three Recommendations/Evaluations. Recommendation forms will be sent directly to evaluators.
- If you are currently employed as an instructional/educational assistant your recommendation forms must include the building principal, a teacher at your school site and one from another person who speak to your abilities.
- If you are in another position you may use recommendations from three people familiar with your work with children and your qualifications to become a teacher

Note: The Lane County Pathways In Education Program is a coordinated response to the 2015 Educator Equity Act (ORS 342.433). All are encouraged to apply, but the primary intent of this program is to recruit, support, and train diverse candidates as defined by the Educator Equity Act.
