Description

Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for a temporary 4 hour per day Educational Assistant II for the Infant Toddler Center at Willamette High School.

A successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • The individual who fill this 20 hour per week position will be working closely with the classroom teacher helping in the care of children ages 6 weeks-2 ½ years old.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with formal ECE coursework or prior experience working in a childcare setting with these age groups.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Applicant must be willing to have background check and fingerprinting done through Oregon Department of Education/Childcare Division as well as also background check and fingerprinting done through the Bethel School District.
  • Applicant must be willing to take a 2 hour, on-line training, concerning the health and safety of caring for young children.
  • Applicant must have or be willing to obtain an Oregon Food Handlers card within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Applicant must have or be willing to take a two hour class pertaining to Oregon’s Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse laws.
  • Applicant must have or be willing to take a two hour First Aid and Pediatric CPR training within the first 90 days of employment.
