Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for a Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Willamette High School.

Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Willamette High School. A successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • A commitment to academic excellence and achievement for all student-athletes in the program
  • Demonstrated ability to lead young athletes
  • A highly tuned ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, time management, and public relations
  • Knowledge of baseball skills, drills and formations

The WHS Junior Varsity Baseball Coach will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all aspects of their high school team including practice/game organization
  • Work closely with Head baseball Coach and Program
  • Provide regular communication with parents/families/school personnel
  • Regularly track the academic progress of all student athletes in the program and facilitate necessary    supports to ensure their academic eligibility

The WHS Junior Varsity Baseball Coach reports directly to the Head Baseball Coach, Athletic Director and Principal and/or their designee.

 

All coaches recommended for hire must complete the following prior to employment:

  1.  NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification (www.nfhslearn.com)
  2.  Completion of Safe Schools Coursework (annually) and other Bethel School District Requirements
  3.  Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Check.
  4.  Completion of NFHS Concussion in Sports Certification (annually) (www.nfhslearn.com )
  5.  Completion of OSAA Steroid Prevention Course (every four years)
  6.  Completion of NFHS Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention (every two years)     (www.nfhslearn.com)
  7. Completion of NFHS Engaging Effectively With Parents (www.nfhslearn.com )
  8. Completion of NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment (www.nfhslearn.com )
